As if "The Fast and the Furious" — the frenetic, street-racing-themed, live-action car-toon — and its pitiful sequel didn't provide enough noise, violent hysteria and motor oil for undiscriminating audiences, craven souls made the useless "Torque." The speed demons of "Torque" are on tricked-out two-wheelers rather than fully-loaded racing cars. But they're just as dumb as the fast, furious bunch, they're more worthless in the acting department, and the film is the worst. The stale plot, such as it is, is set in motion by biker boy Cary (Martin Henderson), who comes back to his hometown to hook up with his girlfriend Shane (Monet Mazur). But the motorcycles that Cary took with him when he left town had narcotics hidden in them by the vile, drug-dealing Henry (Matt Schulze), leader of the Hellions biker gang. Henry wants his bikes and the hidden contraband back at any cost. When the younger brother of Reapers gang lord Trey is killed, Henry frames Cary for the murder. Cary is now fair game for Henry, Trey and the FBI, and must rely on his friends (Jay Hernandez, Will Yun Lee) to help him set things right. The impossible, high-velocity cycle chases are so obviously computer-generated that it's like the movie is being interrupted by a video game. With Ice Cube, hardly at his best as Trey, and Jaime Pressly, inadvertently hilarious as a bad, bad girl.
