Sure, "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" is insubstantial product. But this sequel to 2000's zany big-screen take on the tongue-in-cheeky, cheese-caked '70s action TV series "Charlie's Angels" is also an easy sell. The first "Charlie's Angels" film — featuring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu as three party-hearty, crime-busting babes working for a private investigation agency run by the enigmatic, unseen Charlie — was a laugh-out-loud lark. "Full Throttle" has to live up to a high standard of silliness, and it equals its predecessor. Quick-cutting director McG and his returning star trio lucked out with gruff comic Bernie Mac replacing loopy Bill Murray as Bosley, the Angels' field liaison. Luke Wilson and Matt LeBlanc as two Angels' boyfriends and a sinister Crispin Glover as the silent assassin are all back from "Charlie's Angels," as is suave John Forsythe, the voice of Charlie since the original show. You get well-toned sexpot-of-a-certain-age Demi Moore as an ex-Angel with devilish plans, droll John Cleese as an Angel's dad, patently impossible stunts, cool cameos, TV and movie parodies ("C.S.I.," "Cape Fear," etc.), a decades-spanning slew of pop music cues... Plot? Who needs a plot?
