	Finn Taylor Robin Tunney, Tim Blake Nelson, Brad Hunt, Jason Priestly, Nora Dunn, Liz Phair, Lindsay Crouse 2001		With the wounded, offbeat allure of actress Robin Tunney as its soul, this unorthodox sophomore effort from writer/director Finn Taylor ("Dream With the Fishes") has an eccentric appeal. "Cherish" is either the most vividly hued film noir ever or the most downbeat romantic comedy. Zoe (Tunney) is a socially gauche girl who only finds solace in the all-love-song format of a local radio station. Employed at a San Francisco computer-animation house, she's shunned by co-workers and harbors an unrequited crush on the staff Lothario (Jason Priestly). Things get worse when Zoe's involved in a lethal accident that leaves her under house arrest in a loft apartment. Innocent of any crime, awaiting her trial and pursued by a stalker, she's in need of exoneration. The court-appointed technician (Tim Blake Nelson of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?") who services her electronic ankle monitor wants to help her. But ultimately, Zoe's fate is in her own hands. Given most of the screen time, Tunney shows she's worth cherishing.
