"Undercover Brother" is it, and it's more than a guilty pleasure with a killer funk soundtrack. It's the soul-man equivalent to Mike Myers' "Austin Powers" movies, and just as funny. Pop-eyed Eddie Griffin plays Undercover Brother, a '70s-fixated, pimp-stylin' detective who fancies himself a charitable Robin Hood of the 'hood. The Man's white supremacist organization develops a secret formula to turn African-American leaders docile, so a secret black intelligence unit recruits the Brother to save the day. Although romantically torn between his partner Sistah Girl (Aunjanue Ellis) and his enemy White She-Devil (Denise Richards), our hero must foil the plans of The Man's flunky, energetically played by Chris Kattan of "Saturday Night Live." With Dave Chappelle (conspiracy freak) and Neil Patrick Harris (token white guy) also scoring laughs as U.B.'s cohorts, it's a scream.
