Arnold Schwarzenegger headlines another action film — one with an all-too-timely terrorist plot. Here, Ah-nold the Great, heavy Austrian accent and all, plays an ace L.A. fireman whose wife and child are killed in a terror bombing by evil Colombian revolutionary El Lobo. Livid with rage, the smoke-eater craves revenge for the destruction of his family, so he travels to Colombia to dispatch the man identified as El Lobo (Cliff Curtis), as well as cocaine kingpins and anyone else who gets in his way. He enters the country illegally and walks through the jungle to the terrorists' citadel, leaving havoc in his wake. And he even has time to save the life of a young Colombian boy, to the gratitude of the child's beautiful mother (Francesca Neri). "Collateral Damage" is rough going, despite the able Andrew Davis ("The Fugitive") directing and John Leguizamo ("Moulin Rouge") and John Turturro ("O Brother, Where Art Thou?") in supporting roles. As Schwarzenegger gets older, his participation in this sort of movie becomes more of a joke.
